Presenters:

 

Jim Hoyt, A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company  Jim has worked most of his 15 year career for A.E. Staley in a variety of roles including process engineering, boilerhouse operations, and environmental engineering.  He holds a Ceramic Engineering Degree from the University of Illinois.  Jim is currently responsible for company-wide energy procurement activities and co-manages corporate environmental programs. 

 

John Seaman, Ispat Inland, Inc.   John became Energy Supply Manager at Ispat Inland, Inc. in May, 2000 and is responsible for natural gas, power, industrial gases, acid, and fuel oil purchases for three plants.  Assignments during his 18 years at Inland include maintenance, construction, engineering, operations, and purchasing.  John has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Walt Brockway, ALCOA  Walt joined the ALCOA Energy Team in November, 2000 as its Energy Electrical Services Specialist.  Of his 17 years with ALCOA, he served 16 years as Power Engineer followed by Power and Engineering Manager for Massena NY Smelting Operations.  He is a licensed Professional Engineer, and holds a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering.
